Corrections
Found something wrong? Tell us exactly what.
Every figure and claim on this site carries a source and a date, and every one of them can be wrong — a rate changes, a source updates, we misread something. Report it below and we will check it against the source and either fix it or tell you why we didn't.
Report an error
What happens next
- We read every report against the page and the source it cites.
- If the report is right, we fix the page and add a dated entry to the log below — we don't quietly edit and say nothing.
- If we can't reproduce the issue or disagree with it, we reply to the contact address you gave us (if any) explaining why.
- A report about anything else on the site, including a byline or a claim of enforceability, is handled the same way — nothing here is exempt from a correction.
Our full review and correction process — including how bylines are checked — is covered in the editorial policy. The assumptions and sources behind our tools and figures are covered in the methodology page.
Published corrections
Every correction we publish, with the date it was made, appears here.

Once a reported error is checked and fixed, it will appear here with the date it changed. Nothing is listed until that actually happens.
